Resting your eyes on the pastel-colored African savannah is not unpleasant, but the Safari theme is hardly done in a very original way. You get semi-cartoonish animal symbols with decent win animations, and you have to rely solely on wilds for assistance in the base game. The 1,024 pay ways means that the 5,000x potential can be cracked at any time, but let’s face it, you’ll probably need the bonus round to get even close.

As is usually the case with these kinds of symbol upgrade bonus rounds, you need to upgrade as many symbols as possible as early on as possible to truly do damage. Anything can happen, of course, but when all 4 animals land as the top-tier Lion you’ll definitely notice the difference. Many times the feature will roar like a lion but deliver like a sheep however, and it can take a good while to get from one “watering hole” to the next.
