We have to admit that we prefer the dinosaur visuals over this though, and the presentation comes across as a tad too generic. This is not usually a problem with this developer, but the doubling multiplier action is unmatched by most other slots out there. The multiplier never resets in the bonus round, and there is no limit as to how high it can go. The 25,000x potential has been dialed up a notch, which makes this installment well worth checking out.

You can turn on the Golden Bet between base game spins, and this doubles your bonus round chances if you’re willing to pay 20 % extra per spin. The premium symbols pay between 1 and 2.5 x your stake for 5 of a kind wins, and the Wild symbols step in for pay symbols to help complete wins.

The wild does not hold any value of its own, however.

All winning symbols are removed from the grid via the Dropdown Wins mechanic, and the gaps are filled with new an/or existing symbols dropping down from above. One position will always spawn a wild symbol per dropdown, and the process repeats as long as you keep winning.

Yggdrasil hasn’t really nailed it with this heist theme, as it comes across as too generic and unexciting. Raptor Doublemax is far more pleasing to the eye, and it ironically glows stronger than this neon-infused follow-up. The two games are very similar in most other ways though, so it boils down to whether you prefer dinosaurs or characters.

The hit rate has been lowered to 20.8 (from 30.5), but you now get 243 ways to win instead of only 25. More importantly, the max win has been boosted up to 25,000x your stake (instead of 20,000x), and the top-tier 96 % RTP remains more or less the same. Mathematically speaking, Neon Villains Doublemax is superior, but we still prefer the original due to the far more engaging visual presentation.
