Push Gaming has had pretty decent success with their ‘book of’ inspired Mystery Museum, and Mystery Mission to the Moon doesn’t stray too far from the original success formula. At least not in terms of features, but the theme takes you on a cartoonish space adventure to the moon. The retro style sci-fi visuals are excellent, and the soundtrack adds to the mysterious vibe.

As in the predecessor, everything revolves around the Mystery Stacks, and landing 3+ makes them nudge fully in place for a guaranteed ‘book of’ style win. The 10,000x potential can thus be cracked in all stages, but your chances increase when the mystery stacks become sticky in the bonus round. The 6x4 grid is larger than before, but the potential has been sliced significantly for whatever reason.

We really enjoyed the retro futuristic cartoon visuals you get in Mystery Mission to the Moon, and the overall mysterious space exploration atmosphere will take you for a joyride for sure. It’s definitely a volatile joyride though, and this follow-up to Mystery Museum comes with an expanded grid with twice the number of paylines.

The point of that would be to increase the potential, and this is even stated on Push Gaming’s own website.

However, they have somehow ended up landing on 10,000x your stake, which is significantly lower than what’s on offer in the predecessor. The Ante Bet option seems like a good idea in this release, not least since it also increases your max win chances. However, how much your bonus round chances are actually increased is not specified. Overall, this is an excellent alternative to regular ‘book slots’, but the lower potential makes it less of an obvious alternative to the original.
