Sometimes looks can be deceptive, and this is definitely the case with Just For The Win’s Chilli Pepe Hot Stacks. At first glance this looks like a shelf-filling mediocrity from the Games Global partner, but it will take you by surprise once you start playing. The base game is admittedly not super exciting, but you get stacked chilli reels that can land you prizes up to 250x your stake. The retro visual presentation is not the best we’ve seen, perhaps, but the excellent soundtrack is a good compensation.

Pepe is a charmer as well, and you get action commentary all the way. The Hot Reels feature can sync up to all 5 of the reels, which can land you solid payouts in all stages of the game. You get chilli stack prizes in all stages of the game, and the same goes for the hot reels feature. These are not too exciting in the base game, however, but things get a lot more spicy in the bonus round.

Both features come with different ways to increase the chilli stack win multiplier, and the extra hot feature is probably the best option if you want to go for the max win. Being able to win up to 10,000x your stake makes Chilli Pepe Hot Stacks an attractive prospect, and the retro charm is going strong together with the mariachi soundtrack. Overall, we had a pretty good time testing this game, and we recommend that you don’t let the simple appearance fool you.
