We don’t really mind the somewhat dated appearance of Treasure Tracks, as it fits well with the nostalgia of the vintage theme. The jazzy soundtrack takes you back in time, as the steam whistle blows for arrival and departure. The Gold Coin Bet might be something to consider, as the base game doesn’t really offer all that much, although solid payouts are theoretically possible from high paying wilds.

The big innovation is the Connectify Pays system, but this feature comes into play during the bonus round only. It feels kind of like a racehorse feature, where the horses are replaced by trains racing across the reels. Getting the top-tier train to the end of the grid awards 5,000x your stake, but the lower-level jackpots are not all that exciting in comparison.

You can switch it on between spins at any time though, and it increases your stake by 50 %. The classic design, excellent sound effects and jazzy soundtrack, adds up to a somewhat nostalgic experience. The base game can be a bit of a grind though, but you can always turn on the Gold Coin Bet to trigger the bonus round far more often.

It’s enjoyable to see the different color trains move across the grid to award different jackpot prizes.

However, even the second highest prize is only worth 200x your stake, which creates a solid gap to the 5,000x top prize. A bit too steep perhaps, and we think a 1,500x second tier jackpot would have made this game more attractive. Overall, Treasure Tracks is a pleasurable joyride, but it could have been even better with a base game modifier or two.
