The BlazingWays dynamic reels experience is triggered by golden mustang coins that land on a regular basis, and these are collected in the 3-slot meter above each reel. A horse will then gallop across the relevant reel(s), and increase the height of the reel by up to 3 rows. With 1, 2 or 3 coins collected in a meter, the reel will increase in size from the regular 3 rows, to 4, 5 or 6 rows, respectively.

This, of course, also increases the number of win ways, and you will always play with between 243 and 7,776 ways to win.

When you max out a reel with 6 rows and 3 coins in the meter, all coin symbols that land on that reel will turn into the top-tier Mustang symbol that pays 5x your stake for 5-oak. Coins are removed from the respective meters per spin, and zero coins in a meter means that the reel is reset to 3 rows again.

Wilds always expand to cover the entire reel when they land, and wilds will appear on reels 2, 3 and 4 only. The number you see on the wild symbol is not a win multiplier, but rather the amount of win ways awarded. Wilds step in for all regular pay symbols to help you complete winning combinations.

The BlazingWays engine provides a somewhat original and innovative dynamic reels experience, and it’s actually kind of enjoyable once you get over the fact that horses are basically galloping into the sky when reels are expanded. The expanding wilds come in handy at times, and we enjoyed the western-style soundtrack more than the somewhat bland visual presentation.

Having options in the bonus round is never wrong, even if you have to trigger the feature a few times before all tiers become available. The most volatile option can be a nail-biting affair for sure, and as you can imagine, it’s very ‘hit or miss’. It’s probably best to go with your gut feeling once you have more than one choice, or play it somewhat safe with the ‘golden middle way’ 5 or 8 spins options.
