Review Summary

Spellbinding Mystery didn’t exactly spellbind us from the get-go, but this is a game that will most likely grow on you as you get deeper into your session. The visuals are solid, as is usually the case with Pragmatic Play, and you get some spellcasting action commentary from the wizard as well. It felt a bit strange to not get the cascading wins mechanic, at least initially, but the abundance of mystery symbols can make a dent also in the base game. This is not least the case if a multiplier wild or two is thrown into the mix.

You don’t get wilds, nor multiplier wilds, all that often in the main game though, but they will liven things up once in a while. The bonus round triggers on a regular basis, around every 200 spins on average, and this is where the magic can happen.

All wilds come with multipliers, and up to x10 at that, and enough highlighted positions can lead to back to back wins. You will most likely need multiplier wilds to truly do damage though, and up to 10,000x your stake is possible. The max win comes with a decent 1 in 5.1m spins hit rate, and Spellbinding Mystery is a pretty solid grid slot all things considered.
